[00:00:00] Hello there everybody, welcome to Forgive And Forget. My name is Hal Sadi aka Halu and this is the show where I'll talk about the stuff that's going on in my life. I'll tell you a quick story and I'll go over the news that's targeted to me.
[00:00:16] Hello, how are you doing? I'm glad to be here.
[00:00:21] Ay ay ay. Oh oh ay ay ay ay. Oh yeah.
[00:00:28] I said yeah I'm back baby. I'm back. I don't know if you've noticed but there's been two episodes last week. One with me, one with a guest and that's what I'm going to be doing now.
[00:00:41] And if you want to watch the third one, then there's a Patreon. The Patreon is not out yet but I have two episodes in the can already so when I hit publish, boom there's some content there.
[00:00:53] Now some people might say, well why are you doing that? Your audience isn't too big. And other people might say like hey man, what if you just do that and then you build the audience as you go?
[00:01:06] So most people will probably recommend that you wait for the audience to grow. So it's a way for you to support the show. If you enjoy the show, if you want to support it then you can go over it.
[00:01:19] So that's what I'm thinking. I'm thinking maybe I could just have it so by the time that moment hits where there's a little cross section when kapow and kaboom happen, you know?
[00:01:31] So we'll see. We'll see. I'll just have it there. And in the meantime if you want to support...
[00:01:37] Hey man, I fall on both camps. I agree with both stances. So that's why I'm like okay maybe because I had the idea the other day, maybe two or three weeks ago.
[00:01:49] Maybe a little bit longer because my wife was still in town. And I think I've been talking about this for a little bit.
[00:01:57] But I had the idea about it and I figured okay maybe if it comes in there, I gotta follow it. Sometimes you got those moments of inspiration and that's what the inspiration was.
[00:02:09] Oh I gotta do this, I gotta do that, I gotta do the other thing. You gotta put it out there. So if I don't listen to it then I'm just...
[00:02:17] I'm just... What's the word? What's the word? I'm just being... Damn it, what's the word? God damn. God damn. I've just betrayed myself. There we go. That's the word.
[00:02:34] I know words guys. So yeah, so I figured that's what I would do. Alright, so yeah that's what I'm doing. My wife is back. My hwaf is back so we hung out over the weekend.
[00:02:48] And well basically Sunday, Saturday night. I had to pick her up Saturday. Saturday night! I picked her up on Saturday night so there we go.
[00:02:56] And yeah guys that's been what I've been doing. I've just been making moves. I got some things that I'm planning out and I don't want to say anything about them just yet because I want them to come to fruition until...
[00:03:12] And then once they come to fruition I'll talk about them. But I'm making moves people. I'm making moves to make things happen. Yeah guys, yeah guys there we go man. There we go.
[00:03:25] Alright so now this is... I have not fleshed this out at all but this is an idea that I had. I don't know if it's a new idea but it's something that popped into my mind and I'm gonna talk about it.
[00:03:35] Okay, so I feel like there's two kinds of people. The people that decide to change themselves within and then make those changes around the world through them.
[00:03:48] And then there's the people that want to change everything around them because they don't like what's going on. Right?
[00:03:57] And there's good things and bad things about both of them. Like I myself, I'd rather change myself internally so I can go ahead and change the things in my surroundings so I can make things happen.
[00:04:10] You know because I feel like... I was watching the George Carlin documentary and there was a guy that heard on the radio that... I don't know if he was hearing his seven words bit or if he was just on the radio saying bad words.
[00:04:32] So the guy just heard the station and then he complained about it. And here's the thing like... he complained about it to I think it was to the FCC or something and he made a big stink about it and then the guy won.
[00:04:47] So but here's the thing like the guy could have changed the station. There's different channels, there's different stations, there's different everything right?
[00:04:57] If you don't like something, you just change the channel. Go to somewhere else. You don't have to listen to it. Why? If someone is enjoying everything that's being put here in box A right?
[00:05:09] And then you hear box A or you watch box A and you don't like it, you can just go to box B, C, D, E, however many there are. There are millions of them right?
[00:05:20] You don't have to do that but that person decides to change box A even though he's not going to listen or watch it right?
[00:05:28] So this person is one of those people that just wants to change the surroundings and for everybody involved just because he didn't like what he heard.
[00:05:38] So yeah this is not a new idea. But I think what might be a new idea is the stance of like there's two types of people.
[00:05:51] And I think you need both kinds of people for everything. Like for example like Gandhi, he made big changes but I feel like he did it internally too.
[00:06:03] So he made big changes so he can change the fate of India and get the English out of there right?
[00:06:09] But he did it all within himself and then they looked at what he was doing and they're like alright he's got a point.
[00:06:16] You know he had peaceful protests and all that stuff. I don't know that much about Gandhi so please forgive my...if there's any lack of knowledge there.
[00:06:27] But that's the gist of what I understand of what he did right?
[00:06:30] So but from what I've heard from like there's a Gandhi story. This is not my story right?
[00:06:37] I've just heard it through multiple people. I didn't even like learn from it.
[00:06:42] So but there's a Gandhi story that a mom took her child to Gandhi and she said hey can you have them stop eating sugar?
[00:06:53] He's like okay sure just come back in two weeks.
[00:06:59] And then the lady comes back in two weeks and she's like alright what's the story?
[00:07:05] And he's like stop eating sugar.
[00:07:12] She's like couldn't you have done that before?
[00:07:14] He's like well I had to stop eating it first. You know that's leadership right there. That is leadership.
[00:07:20] So I feel like you need both kinds of people.
[00:07:27] There's but there's all the everything could be taken for good or bad. That's the problem right?
[00:07:33] That is the problem and the bad guys will always take the positives and then make them work for them and then the good guys can also do that as well.
[00:07:43] So it's a clash of ideas and stuff like that but the good and the bad.
[00:07:51] Anyway so yeah I did not flesh that out as I would want.
[00:07:56] But what I'm getting to is that there is two kinds of people and I feel like I fall more in the within.
[00:08:07] And obviously by doing it within you change your surroundings as well.
[00:08:12] Because I guess like being in a relationship right?
[00:08:15] If you change yourself the relationship will likely change as well.
[00:08:19] Because they will interact with you in a different way.
[00:08:22] So it's kind of the same with the world around you baby.
[00:08:27] And obviously there's things that you could do to change the surroundings as well.
[00:08:32] So I don't know. That's just the thought I had people.
[00:08:35] That's just the thought I had.
[00:08:38] So we will see where it goes.
[00:08:41] Alright so I'm only reading three news articles.
[00:08:45] The first one was about Dave Cooley you know the uncle Joey on Full House.
[00:08:52] He was on a podcast and he said that there was a...
[00:08:56] There was a...
[00:09:00] So I read the article.
[00:09:02] I didn't watch the podcast but this is what the article said.
[00:09:05] There was a hidden stoner joke in Full House that nobody ever got.
[00:09:10] So he broke it down.
[00:09:12] So basically what he said was that his character's name was Joey.
[00:09:17] And the show runner for Full House asked him,
[00:09:21] Hey can you give him his surname?
[00:09:23] And he gave him Gladstone.
[00:09:25] Because you know he's glad to be stoned.
[00:09:28] That's it right?
[00:09:29] And it made him laugh and I guess it made the show runner laugh.
[00:09:33] Because that's what he named the character.
[00:09:35] So it's Joey Gladstone.
[00:09:36] So I guess his character is a stoned Jew.
[00:09:44] Alright.
[00:09:49] The other one.
[00:09:52] The other one.
[00:09:53] Miley Cyrus says that she wasn't taken seriously at the Grammys.
[00:09:57] And she just won her first one in whatever the Grammys were.
[00:10:00] I don't know.
[00:10:01] I don't follow the awards right?
[00:10:02] But my question is like who gives a fuck about award shows right?
[00:10:07] Who gives a fuck?
[00:10:08] And I'll tell you who doesn't.
[00:10:10] The people that don't get any awards.
[00:10:12] Meaning me.
[00:10:13] Hey I don't have any awards.
[00:10:16] But she was saying like how they weren't taking her seriously until like this year.
[00:10:23] Because she won a Grammy for her latest album.
[00:10:25] I don't know.
[00:10:26] I don't follow Miley that much.
[00:10:27] I just know a few of her songs.
[00:10:29] I like some of her songs.
[00:10:30] They're pretty fun.
[00:10:31] Party in the USA.
[00:10:33] Hey baby that's a great song.
[00:10:35] There's other great songs about her.
[00:10:37] And she was saying like in the culture.
[00:10:40] Culture?
[00:10:41] In the culture.
[00:10:42] Like she's pretty big.
[00:10:43] And I could see that.
[00:10:44] I mean she made a bunch of stinks here and there.
[00:10:47] And when I say stinks is like they shoot like you know people are talking about her.
[00:10:51] So I could see that she did shift culture in some ways.
[00:10:55] And also she I saw how you know you're a child star and then you're trying to break out of that box and all that sort of stuff.
[00:11:02] So yeah she did stuff.
[00:11:04] So I guess I don't know why she cares about that.
[00:11:07] She's like making all the money.
[00:11:09] And I think the Grammys are like your peers or something like that.
[00:11:12] Who are saying like hey you did the best thing.
[00:11:15] So I don't know man.
[00:11:16] I don't know how that works.
[00:11:17] I don't give a shit.
[00:11:18] I'm not trying to get awards people.
[00:11:20] I'm just trying to make people laugh and enjoy themselves you know.
[00:11:24] All right but it's you know good on her.
[00:11:27] I think I guess she was.
[00:11:30] She was trying to make impress them or something.
[00:11:32] I don't know.
[00:11:33] I don't know Miley do your thing man.
[00:11:35] Keep rocking it.
[00:11:37] All right.
[00:11:38] Last one.
[00:11:39] So I guess Pat McAfee called Caitlin Clark a white bitch on the air.
[00:11:44] To be fair to the guy he was defending her and I don't know the context of what it was.
[00:11:50] And so Caitlin Caitlin Clark is like this this college basketball phenom that that is doing really well.
[00:11:59] And I guess you know he was defending her and I guess it must have been something racial or something.
[00:12:03] He just saw it's a white bitch or whatever.
[00:12:05] But the problem is he has a show on ESPN ESPN is owned by Disney.
[00:12:10] So I guess you can't get away with doing that if he said that on like another on his show on his whatever he might have gotten away with it.
[00:12:18] But still he said he felt bad about it.
[00:12:20] We know it's not it's not cool calling people that but at the same time he apologized to her and immediately just like to be fair to the guy he was defending her.
[00:12:32] So I guess it just in the heat of the moment I don't know because he's a he's a funny guy that Pat McAfee I've seen a couple of his shows.
[00:12:39] He's he's trying to you know do shit and be fun.
[00:12:42] He's on and also he's on TV a lot like he's like I think it's like three or four hours a day.
[00:12:48] I don't know if it's three times a week or five times.
[00:12:51] That's a lot man.
[00:12:52] That's a lot of talking.
[00:12:53] You're going to say some some shit.
[00:12:56] What I didn't know about him was that he used to have a podcast and then and then the ESPN bottom out and then that's how he got his show on ESPN.
[00:13:08] So that's that's how it goes.
[00:13:10] That's so they started their podcast by themselves and then they did it.
[00:13:13] But I don't know why.
[00:13:14] I mean if you're doing well I don't know what the situation is and he probably definitely likes it better where he is.
[00:13:21] I guess in some ways you're just like kind of beholding to YouTube and stuff like that.
[00:13:25] I don't know.
[00:13:26] I don't know any history about the how his show got picked up or anything.
[00:13:30] I just heard about it.
[00:13:31] So that's cool.
[00:13:33] That's cool man.
[00:13:34] That's cool.
[00:13:35] Yeah it's kind of hard when you're owned by a network that's owned by Disney.
[00:13:41] You know it's going to be kind of vanilla and I'm looking I love Disney so no disrespect.
[00:13:47] Okay no disrespect.
[00:13:49] I used to do a good Rodney.
[00:13:52] I got to I got to work it in.
